Bug Description
I am not using Calibre to manage my phone.
If my phone is plugged into my PC and Calibre is running.
The hard drive (HD) goes into a repetitive disk search...
The armature on the HD makes constant sounds like it is moving across the platters.
The only way to stop this is by doing either one of the following:
Exit Calibre
Disconnect the phone
Connect my Nook (Simple /touch)
Otherwise... The HD is going buzz..... buzz..... buzz... etc... (about every 1/2 second or so...)
Win 7 64 bit
calibre 64bit, Version: 0.9.37
Phone: HTC G2, then (now) Samsung GS3
This issue has been present for at least a couple of years (when I first began using Calibre)
And I always grab the most recent version. when prompted.
I use Calibre about once a month...
I kept hoping that it would go away with one of the updates, but no luck.
I suspect that this problem could end up causing damage to a users HD.
Let me know if you need more info from my system
