Links are wrong after RTF conversion

Bug Description

I converted a RTF to ePub format. Any HTTP links to web sites don't convert properly. They get pointed to index_split_000.xhtml no matter what was in the RTF file. Internal links (references to bookmarks within the file) are converted properly.

I've attached an example of the converted file from inside the ePub ZIP file. In the original RTF, all these links work normally.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hi Kovid,
Thank you for the quick response. Rather than upload the entire book, I created a trivial example of a book with a link to Google.com. When I convert it, the ePUB generated just goes back to the book.

I'll do another attachment with the ePUB file

Thanks,

Lance

Here's the ePUB file that Calibre generated. Note the link to Google that doesn't work.
