Save RTF & PDF to Disk does not update Author

Bug Description

When I save an RTF or PDF to Disk the Author metadata item is ONLY updated if the Author field in the existing file is empty, If it already contains some text then that value is retained.

The Title metadata item is ALWAYS updated irrespective of whats already in the existing file.

IMO the treatment of the Author field in the embedded metadata for PDF and RTF files should be no different to the treatment of the Title metadata field in PDF and RTF files - overwrite existing values.

This problem is not new - just that its starting to annoy me because I keep forgetting to clear the field before adding the book, and I I made a couple of mistakes entering some Author Names, a couple of which had > 100 books attached to them.

Windows 7 64 bit SP 1, Calibre 0.9.5

I did a quick test with portable Calibre under Mint, looks like the problem also exists in that environment.

Works for me. Steps I tried:

1) Load a pdf file that already has an author in to calibre.
2) Change the author.
3) Save to disk.
4) The resulting pdf file has the changed author in its /Info dict. Note
that calibre does not change the XMPP metadata in PDF, and I have zero
interest in adding support for it, patches welcome.
5) Repeat, with same results for RTF file.
