Bug Description

I have 8 desktops organized in two rows of four. If I open a window on desktop 1 (top row, left), the window is placed in the top left corner of the desktop. Now I move to the top right desktop and the window disappears from the desktop switcher. It only reappears when I move back to desktop 1 or 5 (5=bottom row, left).

The attached picture shows the behavior.

Output of xwininfo for the disappearing window:
xwininfo: Window id: 0x6800504 "~"

  Absolute upper-left X: 1
  Absolute upper-left Y: 52
  Relative upper-left X: 0
  Relative upper-left Y: 0
  Width: 802
  Height: 762
  Depth: 32
  Visual: 0x134
  Visual Class: TrueColor
  Border width: 0
  Class: InputOutput
  Colormap: 0x6800005 (not installed)
  Bit Gravity State: NorthWestGravity
  Window Gravity State: NorthWestGravity
  Backing Store State: NotUseful
  Save Under State: no
  Map State: IsViewable
  Override Redirect State: no
  Corners: +1+52 -1117+52 -1117-266 +1-266
  -geometry 80x40+-7+24

Some notes:
- if there is a second window on desktop 1, that is not placed on the left boarder, it does NOT disappear.
- The problem is independent from the program. I reproduced it with gnome-terminal and thunderbird.
- Reproducible for a window on desktop 5.

Environment:
Cairo-Dock: 3.3.2
Ubuntu 12.10
Unity Desktop

Hello and thank you for this bug report! (and sorry for this very very long delay!)

I confirm this bug with Compiz: if a window is on the left border of the first desktop and I switch to the last viewport, Switcher remove this window from the first desktop.

Maybe because Compiz changes some parameters?

@fabounet: what do you think about this bug?

affects: cairo-dock-core → cairo-dock-plug-ins
