It looks like this one is a framework used to show Flash in FF atleast on 64bit build and official Adobe Flash Plugin

Actually, I believe that npviewer is related to the flash plugin. If you add it manually it should work for videos, but it will also deactivate the screensaver anytime you have a webpage loaded with a flash advertisement, etc.

you're right if there is a flash add - even if blocked by adblock npviewer is launched.
as this happens all the time this wouldn't be a solution.

One idea would be to add a startup parameter which will enable you to lock screensaver from software launch on and only launch the software if screensaver should be locked

problem persists. using os[Linux 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64] distro[Ubuntu "natty" 11.04].
flash vides don't get recognized.
when npviewer is added, caffeine turns on rather randomly - it's not restricted to flash videos

I can't watch videos on ivi.ru or zoomby.ru because of license issues, but I had similar issues with other sites. The branch mentioned above uses python-kaa-metadata to parse flv files. It fixes the issue for me.

It might also work for ivi.ru / zoomby.ru?
