Thanks for reporting this bug. Apologies, I'm not an i18n/l10n expert.

I looked for the strings you mentioned. I can see the problem with "Caffeine Indicator".

For "Manually control the desktop's idle state", that string in `share/caffeine-indicator/glade/GUI.glade` has the attribute `translatable=yes`. So I'm not sure what is wrong here; indeed, I don't see the string in the .po files.

Finally, the string "Launchpad Contributions:" is in the .po files, but is not translated in `fr.po`, so that just seems to need translation.

If you know anything more about the situation, I'd be happy to have advice on what might be wrong with the Glade file, and also to know whether you think I need to do anything about "Launchpad Contributions:".

I do not see "Launchpad Contributions:" in the different strings to translate there https://translations.launchpad.net/caffeine/1.0/+pots/caffeine/fr/+translate.
But the translation overview is recommending an older version, maybe that is the reason :

I have updated Caffeine so that the "trunk" series is recommended for translation. I see that now there are some untranslated strings. This seems to include all the strings you mentioned above except for "Caffeine Indicator".

"Caffeine Indicator" is the program name, and in other programs this does not seem to be marked as translatable. However, it would certainly seem to make sense here. (In general, I suppose the word "Caffeine" should not be translated, but "Indicator" should be.) I have fixed this in the source, so that should shortly become available to translate.

@londumas, please do let me know if there are still problems; as I said before, I am not an i18n expert, and I've never used Launchpad's translations system myself, so I suspect there will still be problems.
