indicator hard to see being just grey

Bug Description

I can barely see the caffeine icon. I'm using Breeze Dark theme in KDE, but the grey color would be bad in many other contexts. It should be a more obvious color, like the plain white of the other tray icons. Being so subtle and grey, it's extra hard to see if it is on at all. It would be ideal if it were a bolder color when on, so it were easier to recognize the state vs just the little steam indication.

I agree. I'd happily consider any new icons you came up with.

I realise that suitable icons already exist, in the ubuntu-mono-dark theme (they are shipped with caffeine already!).

So, you could switch to that theme, or simply copy those icons as an override to whatever theme you are using.

Meanwhile, I will look into ways to make sure that appropriate icons are used automatically.

After some consideration, I made the bolder icons the default, and put the others in the ubuntu-mono-light theme (as I can't see a non-GNOME-specific way to make dark & light variants of a theme).

Pushed as r650; will be released with Caffeine 2.9.0.
