Bug Description
at the moment, there is no sanity checking for paths in the experimental colocated control dir format.
Currently, this isn't really an issue, but want to do some verification to see that all paths are under the actual control directory, and not elsewhere - especially before we merge the current colocated support back into 2a, and start adding hpss calls with support for colocated branches.
