'upgrade' is blind

There's no apparent way to tell when 'upgrade' will upgrade something without trying it. It should have a --dry-run type option.

Or status - svn status will show missing revisions.

Are you thinking of 'update' rather than 'upgrade'?

He is talking about upgrading from WT3 => WT4 or the likes.

(Now, I would say that bzr status already checks to see if the tree is out of date, it isn't too far to check what would be pulled by update, but that is not this discussion)

I was a little confused; but when I realised that yesterday I thought
about it and decided that status might be the right place to show both
upgrade and update out-of-date info.
