bzr crash with maximum recursion error

I don't fully understand this issue but it could be the same as bug #692085

bzr branch lp:space-shuttle

I can reproduce this in Lucid and on Mac OS w/ bzr 2.0.3 on python 2.6.1 (Darwin-10.7.0-i386-64bit)

I'm guessing that branch is recursively stacked on itself somehow.
(Either directly, or branch-a says it is stacked on branch-b which says
it is stacked on branch-a, etc.)
