uses 'beta' launchpad api; shouldn't

Bug Description

Some code in plugins/launchpad uses the /beta api. Per the comment on bug 707075, this may be removed in the future. At least bzr trunk should be updated to use, I suppose, the 1.0 rest api.

This is not urgent until removal of the beta api is actually threatened. iirc the old lp api docs encouraged people to write clients hardcoded to /beta, so it probably can't easily be turned off.

The intent was for the beta API to be able to be destroyed when Karmic Koala exited supported status. We probably want to SRU something into lucid removing the last beta references.

On closer inspection, nothing uses the beta api. It's just that there are some incorrect URLs which contain an erroneous /beta/. That bug is bug 707075, so discarding this bug.
