When running "bzr branch lp:gtg" for the first time after installing bzr, the following error output is displayed:

This is a duplicate of #558343. It has been fixed in bzr 2.2.

Incidentally, #558343 did not show up during the search process when submitting this bug - i'm not sure why.

Not finding the other bug when you filed this is probably a case of bug 626656, the Launchpad dupefinder now being too tight.
