chk_bytes not self describing

Bug #386227 reported by Robert Collins on 2009-06-12

Bug Description

not all the nodes we write to chk_bytes are self describing *enough* to let us introspect to determine references.

In particular the distinction between parent_id_basename map and id_to_end maps need to be guessed at, or we need to track the 'kind' of chk_map node we're reading.

This requires a disk change to fix, so it should be done soon.
