Bug Description
With InterBranch landing, it should be possible to write an implementation that pull revisions from a source branch that use the same mapping as the target branch. This means users don't get "DivergedBranches" if the default mapping format changes but that everything "just works".
It would be nice to have something similar for merge, but that will be trickier.
