No handlers could be found for logger "bzr" with 1.9 on Intrepid

i have just installed intrepid (fresh, clean install, no leftovers)
i am using bzr 1.9 from the ppas

whenever i run bzr i get this warning:
No handlers could be found for logger "bzr"

e.g.:

nailor@nailworks:*ot/ROOT/home/nailor° bzr version
No handlers could be found for logger "bzr"

Hi,

Please check the permissions on your /home/nailor/.bzr.log and make
sure that you have write permission to it.

indeed this file belonged to root (i used bzr as root, was probably created then).

thanks, problem is fixed, but a more specific error message would be nice.

Thanks for responding.

bzr doesn't generate the error, and the library that does doesn't
provide any hint that there is something wrong, so there is little
we can do.

Also affects 1.10 for me on Gentoo.

Same permission problem.

A permission problem opening .bzr.log is something we can detect.
