In bzr 0.92, the remote repository always reports that it's a knit repository (??). bzr branch, when creating a new repository, normally uses the same format as the origin, but when coming from

Seen in 0.90 with dirstate-tags being ignored and being given a working-tree-less dirstate branch

Note that Andrew's fix only addresses the repository format, not the branch format, so it won't fix Scott's problem. If we accept this patch, we should open a followon bug for the other formats.

Fix for the specific problem of repository formats has been merged. As Martin says I'll open a bug for the other formats.
