Bug Description
I created a new directory locally in my bzr project, then created a file inside. When I used "bzr upload", it failed to transfer the file because its parent directory did not yet exist on the remote server. When I created the directory manually on the remote side, the file transferred successfully, but then bzr-upload failed while trying to mkdir the directory!

Sorry for the delay here.
This bug sounds weird, bzr-upload always creates parent directories before contained files (or there would be far more bugs like this one). You may have encounter an edge case but without more details it's hard to guess. Useful details I can think of include:
- bzr and bzr-upload versions,
- the names of the file and the directory,
- relevant excerpt from .bzr.log (bzr version will tell you where to find this file).
