strange behaviour with space in URL and google code

As seen on https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~fhu-rafalwolak/cms2u/trunk, which has a really really strange URL, but also:

Don't know what this means.

"bzr info http://winff.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/%20/ is actually a 404, but Google's SVN implementation seems to return a 401 for some reason when we attempt to do a POST request against it."

we don't encode the URL correctly and Google returns a 401 rather than a 404
