combine-thread sounds like it merges, but it doesn't

"combine-thread" implies merging to me (and a few others, too), but combine-thread just removes the target thread, rather than merging the relevant changes. It would likely be appropriate to change the name of the command.

Hi,

This is actually a different bug to bug 200819. They are
very similar, but this one wants the name to be clarified,
the other wants to avoid it losing work no matter what the
name is.

I'm not sure of a better name to use; marking this incomplete for now. (I'm not even sure that the name is wrong - but I will be guided by the data that at least some users have been confused).

Note that combine-thread in trunk is now safer.
