git import fails if a HG field is in the commit too

When I try to import a git repo in Launchpad it fails, see: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/288342873/maarten-fonville-download-npo-trunk.log

The error is caused because the repository is a conversion of a mercurial repo to git, and contains the HG:rename-source field.
Launchpad import crashes when seeing this field.

Yep, it will do (bug 1372149). It's unlikely that this will be fixed this any time soon, for similar reasons as in bug 1084403; I'm working on native git-to-git imports at the moment, which won't have this problem.

ok, thank you for your response and sorry for opening a duplicate.
I hope your git-to-git will be ready soon, as this is a real showstopper for tracking non-git projects in an automated manner :-/
