Message "This file is in an active bzr directory" is always displayed

Bug Description
The message "This file is in an active bzr directory" is always displayed in the status bar of gedit, so even if the file is not in an active bzr directory. See the attached screen shot. My config:
bzr-gedit 0.80
gedit 2.26.1
Gnome 2.26.1
Ubuntu 9.04

Same problem here, the bzr-gedit gets the status wrong.
Nevertheless, the bazaar menu icon in the top menu bar shows itself in yellow or maroon, depending on the fact if the directory is a bazaar repository or not.
