Bug Description

Some dialog windows of bzr-explorer can't be closed in Gnome 3/Gnome Shell, since it doesn't show window buttons for dialog windows anymore. The Settings and the Tools window for example can't be closed with a button, making a right-click and "close" on the title bar necessary.
Maybe an OK or Accept button in these dialogs would help, or enabling the close button for these dialogs again.

On Windows that dialog has both Close [X] button in the title, and even
help button [?] in the title bar. I suppose PyQt is using some strange
theme on your system, or maybe it's related to Compiz or something like
that (I don't really know).

Can you say what's Qt/PyQt version you have installed and also what is
specific GUI options you have enabled in your system (like Compiz).

Changed in bzr-explorer:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Medium

I'm using a vanilla Gnome3 setup, which means compositing and window management is done by mutter.
My Qt version is 4.7.2 and the PyQt version is 4.8.3. I'm using the default Qt setting that emulates the system theme. As far as I can see it is emulating the Clearlooks theme from GTK+ 2 over here.

Even when choosing other themes with qtconfig (for example "Windows"), there is still no close button. The missing Close [X] window button is probably something enforced by mutter, dialog windows from GTK apps don't have the [X] either.

OK, I see. Perhaps the simplest solution would be adding explicit Close
button at the bottom of the dialog. That should be pretty easy, IMO.

summary: - No option to close some dialogs in Gnome Shell
+ Need Close button for Tools-Options (for better support of Gnome Shell)

From what I've found that would only be "File->Accessories..." and "Edit->Preferences..."
