Bug Description

Generating this request from question#123243: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/bzr-explorer/+question/123243

I recently needed to examine a file that was deleted from a revision, and used Bazaar Explorer to manually go back through about two years worth of revision log history, in a project consisting of 3300+ revisions. That was incredibly time consuming.

Please, describe the desired interface for this. Do you like to use qlog (Log History) UI for this?

Changed in bzr-explorer:
status: New → Incomplete

Sorry for the delay -- the notification email got buried in my inbox.

I don't know enough about Bazaar Explorer (or even the bzr command line interface) to be able to answer your question. If you could provide me with a list of options available for =Bazaar Explorer= I'll try to research what might be the best UI choice.

Please, explain your use case and how would you like to have it supported. You don't need to understand bzr internals to explain use case.

I would envision being able to:

1) Launch Bazaar Explorer

2) From the Welcome screen/tab, Open An Existing Location. Usually I go to the recently opened tab and just double-click on "trunk" for the project I'm researching.

3) Once I have trunk open, I click on Log to browse revision history.

4) Current search options in the dropdown box are Messages, Authors, etc. Most likely there would need to be a new Files choice, or perhaps (in case this is easy!): Files Added, Files Changed, Files Deleted.

I'd be happy if there was just a Files choice, provided that something is written to the revision history log when a file is deleted.

Does this help explain what I'm looking for?

Actually, if there were Files Added, Files Changed and Files Deleted, there would need to be a way to search all file actions so you don't have to keep changing the dropdown box until you find one. So how about these new search options:

Files
New files only
Changed files only
Deleted files only
