Bug Description
If I have started bzr-explorer while I have network access and then the network becomes unavailable, attempting to switch between branches in the selector or refreshing a branch view causes bzr-explorer to hang.
Eventually it comes back with the following error:
bzr: ERROR: Connection error: while sending POST /bazaar/: (10060, 'Operation timed out')
But it takes a few minutes to come back with this error. Basically, it becomes nigh unusable without network access even though I just want to work with local branches.

I think this is because bzr-explorer tries to determines the difference between your local branch and the remote parent / submit location. I agree we should not hang. Maybe the workaround will be closing the bottom status window. Can you check it?
