Bug Description

When launching qdiff via bzr-explorer on a lightweight checkout from a smart server, I get this message :
"bzr: ERROR: Connection closed: Unexpected end of message. Please check connectivity and permissions, and report a bug if problems persist."

No problem when launching "bzr qdiff" directly.

I use bzr 2.1.0rc1, but the smart server use bzr 1.14.1

Hi Alexandre,

I can't think of any reason for qdiff to break like this when run from Explorer. :-(

Is the problem reproducible? If so, are you able to test it against a later smart server?

I reproduce the problem all the time.
I downgrade to bazaar 2.0.4 but no difference.

I'll find a way to try with a later smart server.

Ian, maybe this is problem with single connection to smart server?

The problem isn't limited to qdiff.

No problem with a later smart server (2.1.0)

After some tests, seems to happen only when opening the checkout from a "virtual repository".

@spiv: can you provide some hints why this error could happen?
