When clicking on preferences, the window is launching as a "modal dialogs" window and there is no close button. The only way to close the window is to right click on the top of the window and then select close.

The close button on the window header won't be present in any Mutter-based window manager, including GNOME Shell, Gala and Cinnamon, because dialog windows are assumed to always have a close *button* in them.

It should be fixed in bzr-explorer by either changing window type, or adding a close button to the window layout.

bzr-explorer uses Qt/PyQt4 framework to create GUI windows. It works
well among other platforms like Mac, Windows and other Linuxes.

I recall that in the past we got bug reports from GNOME users with
Compiz related to window style and buttons on it. Is your
"Mutter-based stuff" related to Compiz? How can Qt4 works well on your
systems in a cross-platform way without needing to change this in
bzr-explorer code?

Anyway, it's hard to fix this bug without using such OS like yours, so
somebody with access to such OS needs to prepare a patch.

Thank you.
