Opening a folder from bookmark makes the Explorer quit with "Too many open files error"

If I open a bookmarked bazaar tree (local folder) the Explorer usually quits. with error message
"QKqueueFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: open: Too many open files"

The Error message gets repeated many times (the button in the dialog box is not even visible).
According to my experience it only happens if there are changes in that tree, for fully committed branches opens fine.

It happens on OSX 10.6 SL but AFAIR it also happened on Ubuntu earlier.

If I open the same folder normally (via the open button) then I don't get this error.
It happens on multiple folders not just on a particular one.
