Bug Description

It would be nice, if you can pass the variable (like {debupstream}, {time}, r{revno}) to the run command.

Interesting, what would you use these for out of interest?

There are two use cases:

The first would be to change the upstream version string to the package string. When the user will look at the about dialog, he will see 1.3.11+svn20100202 instead of 1.3.11. Therefore he will know, that he is using a daily build.

The second use case would be to work around bug #458724 by building the source tarball using a run command.
