byobu

caption status is not present

Bug Description

Hi,

I installed byobu with screen on Ubuntu 12.04

Everything is ok except that caption line does not appera. I try to change the value "caption always" in /usr/share/byobu/profiles/common but it did not change anything.
I also try to add an xterm line in my .screenrc file. No result.

I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04

Hi there, thanks for the report!

Actually, what you're seeing in this new version of Byobu is not GNU Screen at all -- this is a new backend, called Tmux, which is the new default backend for byobu.

If you want to go back to using the old version of Byobu (with the caption line), you should change your default backend to 'screen'.

Just run byobu-select-backend and select screen.
