Bug Description
I've found that Alt+[Left|Right] switches windows with tmux, but these keys are also used by irssi and weechat IRC clients to switch windows.
Since tmux (and screen) are set up so F3|F4 switches windows, is it necessary to also have the Alt+[Left|Right] combo in the defaults?

Thanks for the report. I don't use irssi or weechat, so I wasn't familiar with those. It's easy to disable those in your local ~/.byobu/tmux.conf with:
unbind-key -n M-Left
unbind-key -n M-Right
Perhaps it just needs documentation.
What about ctrl-shift-left and ctrl-shift-right? Are those in use by anything else?
