Closing tabs or killing terminal instances does not kill processes

Bug Description

killing terminal instances does not kill processes that get created for each of them.

processnames are "bash"

That is a waste of RAM.

not only bash keeps on running but any running command does not exit.
I tried close_pid for both but somehow it doesn't work.

finally found Posix.kill (process, 9) to do the work. merge pending.
