rdesktop crashes with SIGSEGV in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

The crash is reproducible every time im running rdesktop and it happens just after the remote
login screen when hitting login button, within a unity-2D session. I have not tried to reproduce
the crash in a Unity 3D session.
