Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

After showing the form for user entry, ubiquity started looping. It was not possible to enter text into the form and buttons back and next were greyed out.
ltraceing ubiquity repeated the follow loop:
strlen("QProgressDialog") = 15
memcpy(0x8aaa2b5, "QProgressDialog", 15) = 0x8aaa2b5
__ctype_b_loc() = 0xb7dc38a0
strlen("wasCanceled") = 11
memcpy(0x8aaa2df, "wasCanceled", 11) = 0x8aaa2df
__ctype_b_loc() = 0xb7dc38a0

Recipe:
* choose manual partitioning at step 4
* after every change of mount point or format flag, a window containing a progress bar and a cancel button pops up.
* hit that cancel button (on this machine the window stays open for about 4 seconds)
* continue with manual changes until done
* click on next

Could you please start the installer by running 'ubiquity --debug' from a terminal, reproduce this problem, and attach the resulting /var/log/installer/debug and /var/log/syslog to this bug, following the directions in http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs? Thanks in advance.

done. Had a variant of #95429 at first, but was able to reproduce the bug with debug enabled.

BTW. : The ubiquity works if i patiently wait until the progress window vanishes and the form window has been updated.

Is it possible to download and run the current version somehow? I've used adept to update to version 1.4.6, but that one crashes right after the start. Probably some missing dependency.

The cancel button no longer seems to exist. Can you still reproduce this?
