Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

This backtrace is very different from the previous one. It looks like an exception, which is very strange because neither plasma-widget-menubar not dbusmenu-qt use exceptions. Can you restart plasma-netbook from a terminal to find if it prints out any error message right before crashing?

hey guys I got bold this morning and I wanted to try remove kde all together and reinstall it via the meta package. I purged kubuntu-desktop then i did it again doing kubuntu-* since it didnt get all of the desktop. I rebooted and for some reason i have kde still installed but the normal desktop version and not the netbook version. all menus bar at the bottom works flawlessly. it seems like those crashes are netbook specific.

ok just restarted and reinstalled kubuntu-desktop meta package after purging and set it to desktop and i have the upper menu bar as well as the one on the bottom. if i set it to netbook only it does not show up correctly. which now just crashed and sadly i wasnt able to get a back trace :(

oddly now setting netbook in system settings i have 2 menu bars one at the top one at the bottom :(
