Bug Description

On my two machines, after upgrading from Oneiric to Precise, gnome-screenshot stopped working. If I press the "PrintScreen" key, I hear flash and noise typical of the screenshot, but then nothing happens. The screenshot window doesn't appear and the paste buffer is still empty.
Typing "gnome-screenshot" from a terminal has the same effect.
Using "gnome-screenshot -i" *DOES* work as expected.

I am using gnome-shell as my main environment, not tested under Unity

I took a strace of the gnome-screenshot command (it makes the sound, the flash and nothing more). Attached.

Grrr... I found all the screenshot automatically saved in my $HOME directory. I really preferred the old behavior, where I can choose to send them directly to the clipboard.
I think that it is at least surprising.

Changed status to opinion, but it's still a change of behavior that's difficult to spot for a newbie.
