Bug Description

When run from the menu, nothing happens.
When run from konsole I get this:

$ gm-notify
Gkr-Message: secret service operation failed: The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/gm-notify", line 237, in <module>
    cm = CheckMail()
  File "/usr/bin/gm-notify", line 72, in __init__
    keys = keyring.Keyring("GMail", "mail.google.com", "http")
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gm_notify_keyring.py", line 12, in __init__
    self._keyring = gkey.get_default_keyring_sync()
gnomekeyring.IOError

Clearly it is looking for gnome keyring.
Since Kubuntu supports the messaging menu I would assume gm-notify would work with it?

Kubuntu 12.04 64-bit

$ apt-cache policy gm-notify
