same for me with x86 architecture, amd a8-3870k with integrated radeon on proprietary. Did a distro change from mint 12 to mythbuntu 12 because of this, thought it might fix itself with kernel 3.0 > 3.2 , it did not.

Also affects 11.04 with the 2.6.38-15 generic kernel on AMD64 processors. Did not affect 11.04 with the previous kernel. Started immediately after the kernel update.

Hi ugubabba and marja-e,

Are you using radeon in kernel or propietory fglrx?

I also have this problem.

Installation of fglrx through joggler failed, purged 'radeon.*', using module radeon → wakeup after suspend does nothing, power is on, screen is black, no reaction at all.

Workaround:

  sudo apt-get install fglrx

sucessfully installs the ATI-driver, suspend works after reboot.

Don't know why the joggler reports an error; manually use "apt-get install fglrx", then it works fine.

Removing the blocks-hwcert tag, as it works fine with the proprietary driver
