Bug Description

Binary package hint: knetworkmanager

Running Kubuntu Feisty Beta 1. When I resume from suspend or from hibernation, The status icon of knetworkmanager looks weird. It's something about the alphachannel. It looks like knetworkmanager forgets to erase the previous icon and runs the new "alpha-channeled" over it, so it looks like 2 images laid over each other. Clearly a upstream bug imho.

I could not reproduce this bug on my Thinkpad with Feisty final and Gutsy. Could you please try with latest distro and confirm?

I can confirm this is still the case. It's kind of hard to produce a screenshot of it, 'cause it's only happening during a short period of time while the machine is resuming. Running Feisty Final with knetworkmanager 0.1 on KDE 3.5.7

I managed to create a screenshot of one type of this problem. Here, the background is just black. In other cases, the old situation is shown as "background". Maybe this screenshot will be convincing enough for upstream.

oh I see what you mean.
I am running Gutsy with KNetworkManager v0.2 and KDE v3.5.7
I don't see the problem. Both during login time and after a resume, the icon looks good. May be you can try with Gutsy?
Thanks!
