I just finished watching an hour long streaming video. At the end of this program I encountered the exact same problem as when I filed for this bug. In addition, I now have a system monitoring program in place. Checking this, while attempting to quit Firefox I found (after terminating the video) that my cpu usage remained at 26-28%; memory usage @ 1.5 gb. Normally when watching FF video I can expect cpu @ 13-15% and memory useage @ 600-800mb. I hope this helps.
