Evolution will not load new email messages

After upgrading to Ubuntu 11.10 (Meerkat) I cannot use Evolution mail client. It retains the same login information as the original OS (Ubuntu 10.04) but it says "Error while generating message list" "no such table:mem.INBOX"

Good thing I backed up the mail folder before upgrading.

Do I need to use a new email client?
