No bottom bar on maximized startup

BeatBox 0.4 on Ubuntu 12.04

If I start the application in maximzed window mode (because it was maximized when I closed it), there is no bottom bar. Instead, the window goes only till the very line where the bottom bar would normally start and, even though the window sould be maximized, there is simply no window at those 20 or something pixels. (You just see what's behind the window – either the desktop or the window lying underneath). If I demaximize the window, the bottom bar shows up and remains there when I maximize the window again. On starting BeatBox in demaximized mode, the bottom bar is there.
