nautlius trash can icon doesn't change to empty

Bug Description

When emptying the trash, the trash can icon doesn't change to empty. This is a regression, as this bug had been fixed before, I believe.

What version had been fixed before? [Some have seen this all the way back to Hardy bug 269441]

Is what you're seeing in the Nautilus/Files app, or on the left hand side 'Unity Launcher' ?
