Bug Description

In Pinta latest development on Ubuntu 12.04 I have tested "cut". This is introduced by one of fixes on 6 of May in GitHub.
I did the following:
1. Select Text object from Tools and click on canvas.
2. Type in some text like: test
3. Mark the text "est" with <Shift>+<left key>
4. Press <Ctrl>+X
It looks nothing happened. Text is still displayed. But when I click on some other location in canvas, then text "est" disappears just like it should already disappear when clicking <Ctrl>+X. So cut works, but not as expected.
