amd64: can't install python2.7:i386 because miss mime-support:i386

Bug Description

I want run 'glGo' on AMD64-ARCH (12.04LTS), Then it give me the error information.

glGo: error while loading shared libraries: libpython2.5.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Then I want install python2.7:i386, it failed because mime-support:i386 missed.

This is not a bug in ia32-libs, or in Ubuntu in general. python2.5 is obsolete and not available in 12.04.

This will fail for a good number of reasons. We intend eventually for libpython to be co-installable, but that's a wishlist issue on the python package and has nothing to do with ia32-libs.
