Bug Description

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam/MAAS talks about how to configure MAAS as the dhcp server for the network, and indicates that "experimenting while using someone else's network" is another option. That is the last mention of that option anywhere that I can find in the documentation.

It also fails to describe how to integrate a MAAS server into an existing dhcp network (simply provide next-server pointing at the MAAS server), though this is quite likely to be a very common case.

I agree. There is no documentation around how to integrate MAAS without using MAAS server as THE dhcp server. This would be very helpful to understand.

Agreed, this is still an issue in the above doc link
