Sickly yellow glow around ubuntu logo on the top of the cube

Description of the problem:
The Ubuntu logo shown on the top surface of the cube has a yellow glow around it rather than a white glow that something like usplash uses. I can only wonder if this logo is feeling ill...

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable compiz and the cube (this last part might not yet be straightforward).
2. Hold ctrl+alt while left clicking on the desktop. While holding these drag downwards. The top surface of the cube should become visible.

Expected result:
Ubuntu logo surrounded by soft white/grey glow (like usplash).

Actual result:
Ubuntu logo surrounded by soft sickly yellow glow.

Additional information:
The problem does not appear to be in the picture used ( /usr/share/gdm/themes/Human/ubuntu.png ) but rather whatever the background colour compiz defaults surfaces to, as the bottom surface is entirely this shade of yellow.

And you're right about the background colour being the issue, the bottom of the cube is the same sickly yellow colour.

/apps/compiz/plugins/cube/screen0/options/color needs to be set to a non-sickly yellow colour, something like white so it will make the image glow properly, I suppose?

In Gutsy the cube is no longer the default desktop effects option. Enabling it through compiz config when you have a horizontal desktop size of 3 or greater no longer shows an Ubuntu logo but instead shows a face completely covered in the sickly yellow colour.

Closing since the cube and logo is no longer present by default with Compiz. If you choose to manually use the cube and add a logo, you should also be able to change the cube colour to your preference (eg. white).
