gnome-sound-recorder menu icon has too much whitespace and is difficult to see

Description of the problem:
The gnome-sound-
Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on Applications -> Sounds & Video .
2. Compare the size of the Sound Recorder icon to that of the other icons in that menu.
Expected result:
Icon to be the same size.
Actual result:
Icon is smaller.
Additional information:
The icon for XMMS (which is not scalable) while blurry is the right size.

This problem also seems to affect xine-ui 0.99.4+ dfsg+cvs2006111 1-2ubuntu2 (which is using /usr/share/ icons/hicolor/ 48x48/apps/ xine.png in that menu).
