Bug Description

I've got a strange thing going on with my computer,
after boot I get a working lightdm that logs in my sister's account (without password), can launch a guest session. but when I try to loging on my own account (with password) I get a black screen followed by the lightdm unity greeter, trying to log in again will freeze lightdm entirely.
as A workaround, I start GDM from command line...

Thank you for your bug report, could you go to a vt after hitting the issue and copy /var/log/lightdm/lightdm.log and ~/.xsession-errors to the bug?

well, it should be easy enough to add 2 files, could you do that? such long comments makes the bug harder to read

is the session log from a broken login? ît seems a full session log with applications used (i.e gxine)

something strange happened.
i switched the display manager to KDM (dpkg -configure)
after a reboot and logging in using KDM it started to ask all kinds of passwords for unlocking keyrings etc.
so I concluded that wasn't a huge success so I switched it back to lightdm and strangely the bug vanished....

so i'll mark it as invalid...
