USB mouse not working during 12.04 install

Bug Description

I install 12.04 using the Desktop x86 LiveCD and the USB Kingston mouse didn't work during the entire install process but worked fine once I booted the system.

The is not a bug with the installater application, ubiquity, rather with the Live CD environment.

While we appreciate the difficulties you are facing, it would appear that the CD image (ISO file) you downloaded could be corrupt. There is an easy way to verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO files you download. Could you please visit https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM follow the instructions and report back as to whether or not the MD5SUM verified? Thanks in advance.

I did the disk check before doing the install and it passed. I just ran the md5sum check on the CD again and it passed, so I think that the CD is fine.

Could you boot into the live CD, then open a terminal window (with Ctrl+t) and run this command on it?

apport-collect -p linux 993756
