Bug Description

I've installed emacs 24 from the ppa and the icon didn't appear in the launcher until I manually opened the app from the terminal. Even then it wouldn't work right, i.e. it wouldn't launch the emacs after I had closed it down, and would even turn into a ? sometimes. Also emacs didn't appear in the applications section of the dash.

After logging out and back in again, an icon did appear and works, but it has a different name "emacs snapshot (GTK)" that what you get if you start emacs from the terminal. That brings up a totally different icon.
